What was billed as the clash between the famed Indian batting line-up and the pace battery of Pakistan ended up as a clash of the batsmen on featherbed tracks, though the track at Peshawar was more sporting than the others. Once it was the batting prowess that began to dominate, the outcome of the series hinged upon the discipline of the bowling attack. India's young pace bowlers showed lot more discipline and control than their reputed Pakistan counterparts, who were guilty of spraying the ball around. This, actually was the difference between the two sides.
The test matches should make up for a great series. Pakistan's bowling attack will have more time to settle down and have a go at the Indians. It would be interesting to see if they employ Saqlain Mushtaq in their ranks. Saqlain had a wonderful series the last time Pakistan toured India. If the Indian batsmen set up a big cushion for their bowlers, they are in with a big chance of making history in Pakistan i.e. winning their first test/series in Pakistan.
